Lately we have been piggy backing off a favorite family traditions of Andy’s sister and thats enjoying a pizza and movie night on the weekends. Though we have our favorite local joint in town we frequent (like a lot) we have really been enjoying her amazing pizza dough recipe and doing our own at home. This recipe couldn’t be easier and we have so much fun dressing up our own creations at home.

Pizza Dough Recipe
- 1 Cup warm water
- 1 Package active dry yeast
- 3 Cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp honey
- In a stand mixer fixed with the dough hook, add package of yeast to warm water and leave to activate (1-3 minutes).
- Add flour, salt olive oil and honey and mix on medium speed until dough comes together in a ball.
- Continue to knead on medium/high speed until all lumps disappear and dough is smooth in texture.
- Leave to rise for 30 minutes.
- Divide dough into 5 smaller balls and leave to rise on a lightly floured surface while oven pre heats.
- With pizza stone in the oven preheat to 500º.
- Stretch dough using your fingers only, not a rolling pin. Lightly brush crust with olive oil and bake until slightly done, 3-4 minutes
- Remove crust and top with favorite pizza toppings. Return to oven to bake until cheese is melted (3-4 minutes).
